What insurances do you accept?We are in-network with the following major insurers: Blue Cross Blue Shield*, United/UMR/Optum**, Aetna and Cigna. *Exceptions: We're in-network with all plans except Blue Local Atrium, Blue Local Triangle, Blue Local Wake Forest, Blue Home UNC, Blue Home Novant, Blue Value Charlotte, Blue Value Daston, Blue High Performance Network, Blue Essentials, and Medicare Advantage. **We accept commercial plans only. We do not offer EAP services.

What is your self-pay rate?New patient appointments are $225 and follow-up visits are $125.

How can I schedule an appointment?Please use our booking links (for both new and existing patients) found in our "contact" tab or call our office at 910-644-0887 to book an appointment.

Do you have after-hours availability?We do not. Please note that our office is equipped to manage mild to moderately severe mental illness. For individuals struggling with psychotic disorders, intense suicidal or homicidal ideation or an inability to take care of their basic needs, we recommend they seek care a higher level of care (typically physically seeing someone at a brick-and-mortar practice and ideally at an office where the providers are credentialed at the local hospital). This transition may be recommended by your provider if they deem appropriate and if that is the case, we'll be happy to connect you to other offices in your area.

How do telehealth appointments work?We use Tebra's robust telehealth platform to conduct visits. This HIPAA-compliant, secure platform allows for easy video appointments via computer, smart phone or tablet. Patients will receive a telehealth link the morning of their visit, and can click it several minutes ahead of time and go to a virtual waiting room, and their provider will join them as soon as he or she is ready.

How do I reach my provider?Our fantastic administrative assistant Dhova is available Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm to answer calls (910-644-0887), assist with scheduling, and forward messages to providers as appropriate. All existing patients will have access to Tebra's messaging program, where they can easily reach their provider or support staff using either email or text. Please note that our providers are not available outside of normal business hours, and refer to the question on psychiatric emergency if applicable.

Are in-person visits available?While Emily Pevtsov, PA-C and Joseph Jordan, PA-C work remotely and currently only see individuals via telehealth, Gretchen Barnes, PA-C offers both telehealth and in-person appointments at her Charlotte office.

I'm having a psychiatric emergency. What should I do?If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 911 or go to the nearest ER or psychiatric hospital. For those living in the Raleigh area, go to Triangle Springs or Holly Hill for an assessment. For those in the Winston-Salem area, we recommend Cone Behavioral Hospital. For those in Charlotte, we recommend Atrium Behavioral Health. The Suicide Lifeline at 988 offers phone and texting options to help talk you through a crisis.

What is the cost of a visit with insurance?We ask that all new patients and all individuals with change in insurance call their insurance customer service number prior to their appointment. We don't want anyone surprised with large out of pocket costs due to deductibles with their particular plan. A helpful question to ask would be "What is the cost for a mental health/psychiatric office visit with an in-network provider?" If needed, you can provide the following NPI's: Emily Pevtsov (1679977391), Gretchen Barnes (1598353427) and Joseph Jordan (1467082743). CPT codes we commonly use include 99205, 99204, or 90792 for first time appointments and 99213 or 99214 (sometimes with 90833 added) for follow-ups.
